I’m Troy, a contemporary artist, creative facilitator, and community arts coordinator.

My professional journey began in education as a secondary school Art, Design and Photography teacher, where I developed a deep understanding of pedagogy, curriculum design, and the transformative potential of creativity. Over time, my practice expanded beyond the classroom, evolving into a broader commitment to community-based arts and accessible creative engagement.

Alongside my studio practice, I have founded and continue to develop a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to creating inclusive, meaningful creative opportunities within the community. This transition from teacher to coordinator has allowed me to bridge education, wellbeing and professional arts practice designing and delivering projects that support participation, connection and social impact.

As a fine artist, I work across mixed media, ranging from detailed portraiture and expressive abstraction to immersive, therapeutic installations. My artwork explores introspection, personal narrative and the emotional landscapes that shape our experiences.

Across all strands of my work creating, facilitating and coordinating  creativity remains the central thread. I believe we are innately creative and social beings. By bringing people and the arts together, we can cultivate spaces that are inspiring, inclusive and rooted in genuine community.
